It's that time of year...

The time of year when you find these in the store...



I've already purchased 12 and we've devoured 7 of them.  :)  I look forward to Pomegranates all year long!

TIP: *Score the outer peel, then place underwater in a big bowl while breaking apart and removing the fruit (this prevents juice spraying), then strain, rinse, chill, enjoy!*

That's a great tip. I bought some this weekend too. I LOVE them!!! Usually I just wear a dark bib when separating the fruit. I'll have to try that.

try prying the fruit open by sticking in your parring knife at the top and twist, place cut side down on your palm and whack the back (round side) with a wooden spoon over a bowl. no juice and takes like 20 seconds! martha stewart has a youtube of it somewhere....
