Happy Mother's Day! Today I have felt so impressed that I AM a mother! My role as a mother is just different than most. I still worry about my children everyday. I worry about how on earth I'm going to get them here! :) I do everything in my power to bring them into our family, I work to provide a good home for them to be raised in, I strive to stay healthy so they will be healthy, and I worry about the increasing evil in the world and how I will teach them to choose the right. I AM a mother. I am their mother. And, I have children--they just haven't made their great debut yet.
I have been overwhelmed by love today! From the sweet Mother's Day note and gift I received from my dear friend, who also struggles with infertility. To the tearful hug I shared with a friend at church who knows the feelings in my heart all too well. To the texts and emails I've received from friends saying that they are thinking of me today. To cute little boys bringing me chocolate cake. ;) Not to mention that Matt has made a point to make me feel loved and special today too. There are SO many good people who already love these little ones we so anxiously wait for. So today, I'm strong and I'm wishing each of you a Happy Mother's Day. Thank you for your love and support!

Happy Mother's Day Stephanie! I love your positive attitude. You definitely are a great mother and your kids are so lucky to have you!
You are the cutest. I meant to pull you aside today and tell you that you are amazing. I remember back when Mother's Day Sunday wasn't my favorite. It was difficult for me to even show up. I am sure you have heard it before, but one of my favorite quotes of ALL time is by Joseph F. Smith: “Everywhere in nature we are taught the lessons of patience and waiting. We want things a long time before we get them, and the fact that we want them a long time makes them all the more precious when they come.” --They will come. And when they do, you will be one incredible mother to them. XOXO & Happy Mother's Day!
Thank you for sharing this, Stephanie. :) I have been thinking of you and praying for you lately. I, too, am so grateful that we have the Gospel which brings perspective, peace, and hope. Last year I was asked to speak on Mother's Day and felt inspired to know and share that ALL women are mothers because the Gospel brings the promise that ALL good things will come to the faithful, even if it doesn't come right now. Thank you for your example of strength, endurance, faith, and continual growth. You are beautiful on the inside and out. :)
I love the way you put that! That's exactly how I felt on Mother's Day too! You are so cute, and I love reading your blog.
