Total weight gain/loss: My weight has been pretty steady the last couple weeks. I haven't gained any weight yet, but I'm surprised to see how early my little belly is popping out.
Maternity clothes: I've had about two comfortable outfits (besides yoga pants) for the past two weeks. I finally gave in and decided to go shopping. Man. That was discouraging. Maternity clothes do not fit me very well. They say you should be able to fit into maternity jeans from the beginning and you just buy your regular size. Well, I tried on the smallest size they had and they were SO baggy on my bum and hips. I refuse to spend $80 on jeans that look hideous. So basically I've resigned myself to leggings and maxi skirts/dresses for the next nine months. :) I just bought a few pairs of regular leggings and a maxi skirt and a few other regular items that should work throughout the first part of the pregnancy at least. Maybe those maternity clothes will look better in a few months.
Best moment this week: So this was scary, but I had some spotting late on Monday that kind of freaked me out. Matt gave me a blessing and I was again overcome with peace and comfort that everything would be ok. On Tuesday my doctor had me come in for another ultrasound just to put my mind at ease. Which brings me to the best moment of my week--seeing our cute baby still just hanging out on the ultrasound! In fact, the baby was still hanging out in the same position as last Thursday with a cute little hand by it's face! Here is a fun little comparison.
Movement: I can't wait to feel our sweet baby moving
Waist diameter: 26 inches at waist, 30 inches at belly button (that's up half an inch from 2 weeks ago)
Food cravings/Aversions: I'm still loving anything salty or anything with vinegar. I'm finally able to stomach a little meat and I'm enjoying a few more sweets--like ice cream. :)
Labor signs: Thankfully, none.
Belly button in or out? It's definitely too early for this question unless you were born with an outie belly button.
What I miss: NOTHING! I'm just so grateful for this little miracle growing inside.
What I am looking forward to: Everything!! I'm just so happy and excited. It will be amazing to feel the baby move, to find out the gender, and to watch my belly continue to grow.
Milestones: 12 weeks! We're almost through the first trimester. I feel like it was a milestone to have to change my wardrobe a little. Baby is growing and now measuring close to 2.5 inches!
Realization of the week: I was just sitting here today thinking again about what a miracle this little baby is. I look back on the way I felt about pursuing IVF and how I felt like we should wait to do another cycle. It's almost like someone else took control of me and made that decision because it's not one I would have normally made. I know that I was just listening to promptings from the Lord, but it's so incredible to me that that somewhat small decision resulted in this incredible miracle!
Other funny things: When the doctor was doing the ultrasound and took the picture above on 8/5/14 he said, "Show this picture to Matt and tell him it's a boy." ha. Just to clarify, that's a thigh. :)

I am so happy that everything is okay. I am wishing you lots of love with this pregnancy (and prayers too!) You are proof that miracles happen!
Bahaha! I love the part about telling Matt it's a boy. Guys always think appendages might just be huge penises.
I'm glad all is well, and I love hearing about your miracle baby! It took me 6-7 months, but for better or for worse, those maternity jeans eventually fit. :)
I love reading all of your updates and am so glad things are progressing well! We'll keep you in our prayers!
