To Plan or Not To Plan...

That is the question for today.  I'm a BIG planner.  I often write all my plans down repeatedly in different places... just in case.  I have a planner that I take EVERYWHERE.  Then I keep track of major plans in my phone and on the computer.  I like things to be planned.  I like to have things to look forward to.  I am one of those people who will write something on my To-Do list JUST so I can check it off.  And though Matt does most of his planning in his head, and is a little more laid back about it, he is a planner to.  This is good because it means my crazy planning side doesn't drive him TOO crazy... most of the time. :)  I like living this way.  Only problem is, I don't take disappointment too well.

Soooo... we were told that our apartment would definitely be ready by June 12th so that we could move in.  So I gathered lots of boxes and began packing last weekend.  I was thinking that we could live without a lot of things for 2 weeks.  I really just wanted to get a head start and check some things off my list.  :)  Well I received a call telling me that our apartment won't be ready until the 19th!!  Ok so you are thinking, not that big of a deal... right?  Well I packed a lot of my clothes, lots of dishes, etc... and most of all I was PLANNING on moving this Saturday only to find out that it will be another week.  I was depressed for the entire day.  Ok not really, but I was disappointed.  So here is my question to you... is it better to PLAN and risk being disappointed OR is it better not to plan and risk being unprepared???  I'm just curious as to what you think.  Your question will in no way affect me because I will forever be a PLANNER... disappointment and all.

Same thing happened when we were going to move, but then it kept happening and finally we picked another place! I was seriously upset! I went home and ate an entire basket of Easter candy! Planners are the BEST...even though we drive everyone else crazy :)

I'm a huge planner too and it makes Kolt CRAZY! But I always plan for two or three possibilities so its even worse for him. Ultimately, plan away but plan for your plan to change! :D

You make me feel so much better about myself! I am the exact same way!!! I think it's better to plan rather than not be prepared. It just makes life so much easier!!

Oh that is so sad! I hate it when things don't turn out like you want them...at least at first! However, in response to your question...it is WAY BETTER to be a planner! Honestly, could you imagine going through life not knowing what was next? Living out of boxes I know is not fun, but at least you have a cute house waiting for you! :) I think the reason that it's not ready yet is so that when you do finally get to move in, it will be like a billion times better! :) Anyways, keep me posted, I hope everything turns out fantastically!
