Kid-less Halloween

A few days before Halloween I asked Matt what we were going to do for Halloween and he said, "Halloween isn't fun unless you have kids."  Well, I'm always up for a challenge so I set out to prove him wrong.  :)  We LOVE the Harry Potter movies and I figured those were Halloweeny, so I borrowed those from a friend and we started a Harry Potter Marathon a few days before Halloween!
AND, what's a Harry Potter marathon without festive treats, candles, comfy sweats, and a Halloween coloring contest??

Apples with Caramel

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread--my favorite!!

Matt Coloring Frankenstein

Me Coloring Witch Shoes and Tights :)

The Finished Products--boo yah!

And seriously, Halloween without dirt cups??  Impossible.

And last, but not least, comfy ND sweats and pumpkin ice cream!
*The Pumpkin Ice Cream wasn't our favorite.*

It's good I married my best friend or Halloween WOULD be lame without kids.  :)  So, here's to *hopefully* one of our last "kid-less" Halloweens!!  :)

Oh my gosh you are so cute! I'm pretty sure you guys had the best Halloween! I might have to steal some of your ideas for next year!

How fun!!! I was totally thinking that there weren't many great Halloween movies that weren't horror ones (I hate those!). I think I'll watch Harry next year, too! Glad you had a great Hallows Eve!

'Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein' and 'Arsenic and Old Lace' ... maybe I'll have to let you guys "borrow" our kids some time! LOL! It sounds like a MUCH quieter and more relaxing Halloween than we had AND the candy junking out for the next few days, YUCK! My parents were married five years before the Lord decided to send their children. They have good memories of time together! Keep up the good work and have fun!

I was complaining to Curtis about the same thing this year! Halloween is one of those holidays that seems to be more fun with little ones to dress up and take trick-or-treating. Good for you for planning such a fun night with Matt!
