31 Weeks

Thursday, December 18, 2014
How far along? 31 weeks!
Total weight gain: I've gained 19 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight!  Moving right on up there. :)
Maternity clothes: Yep!
Best moment this week: On Tuesday night we went to the hospital to have a little tour and it just made his whole thing seem so much more real! We were able to see a delivery room and a postpartum room. Then we were able to see the nursery and even got to see some cute brand new babies! I feel like February can't come soon enough, but we also still have a lot of work to do to get ready.
Movement: She is still moving a lot everyday! She hasn't kicked me really hard in the ribs, but she kind of likes to hang out up there. Sometimes my abdomen gets really hard and I can't tell if she is just stretching out or if it's a Braxton Hicks contraction.
Waist diameter29.25 inches at waist, 37.75 inches at the widest section of my belly…and growing!
Food cravings/Aversions: I was really craving eggs this morning which is weird because I've definitely had an aversion to eggs for most of the pregnancy. In fact, I think today was only the second time during this entire pregnancy that I have eaten eggs.
Labor signs: Maybe a few Braxton Hicks contractions, but I don't know what they feel like so it's hard to know!
Belly button in or out?  It's starting to pop out just a teeny tiny bit.  You can only see it popping from the side.
What I miss: NOTHING!  We are just so grateful for this little miracle.
What I am looking forward to: Christmas!! It will be so great to spend some time with family.
Milestones:  31 weeks!  The baby is approximately 16.81 inches long (from crown to heel) and weighs approximately 3.31 pounds.  Approximately. ;)
Realization of the week: Um... Christmas is in a week! Is it just me, or does it feel like it really crept up on us this year? Maybe it's because I'm so focused on getting ready for the baby. I'm kind of sad that it's here already, but also excited.
Other things: On Sunday a lady at church said, "So, when are you due?" I told her and responded by saying, "Oh, so are you having twins?!" Haha. It was pretty great. When I told her no and laughed she said, "You must feel like you are ready to pop because you look like you're ready to pop." Ha. Just stop while you're not ahead lady. :) I took no offense. I'm just glad I finally get to have a big baby belly and tell people my due date!

Little B's crib quilt got finished this week! I'm in love.

I also finished the crib skirt today! It's really fun to see the nursery coming together.

Ha ha--I had a lady at Walmart ask me if I was having twins (back in Sept). Gotta love when people comment on "how big you are". You DEFINITELY do not look like you're having twins--you look great!
