37 Weeks and Maternity Pictures

Thursday, January 29, 2015
How far along? 37 weeks!
Total weight gain: I've gained 27 pounds.
Maternity clothes: Yep!
Best moment this week: It was so fun to do lots of baby shopping both online and in stores this past week. I've loved going through everything and doing all the baby laundry!
Movement: She is still moving a lot and I love it. I can definitely feel her getting stronger.
Waist diameter: 31 inches at waist (or the most narrow section since my waist is gone), 41 inches at the widest section of my belly.
Food cravings/Aversions: I don't feel like I've had a lot of really strong cravings this week, but I do love food. ;)
Labor signs: I've had a ton of Braxton hicks contractions this week and they Re getting stronger. Apparently I'm 50% effaced and dilated to 1 cm. So basically nothing. ;)
Belly button in or out?  It's kind of popping out a little, but I really don't think I'll get a full outie because it's just so deep and narrow normally.
What I miss: NOTHING!  We are just so grateful for this little miracle.
What I am looking forward to: I'm really excited to get the dresser, stroller, and car seat next week. Then we can finish organizing and decorating the nursery and then I'll really feel ready for her to come when she is ready. Everyday Matt tells her she should just come out and play with us already. :)
Milestones:  37 weeks! The baby is approximately 19.13 inches long (from head to heel) and weighs approximately 6.3 pounds.  Approximately. ;)
Realization of the week: I think it's funny that they ask me to pee on a stick at every doctor's appointment. I mean I understand why, but it's getting extremely difficult with my big belly! I can't even see the stick down there so how in the heck am I supposed to be able to pee on it!
Other things:
Only 3-4 weeks left until she comes! :) Also, we got our maternity photos back from the very talented Jill Witt Photography and I love them! This pregnancy is such a miracle and we have loved every minute of it. I feel like these pictures really capture that. It was hard to pick my favorites to get ready for a picture overload!

Stephanie, I don't know you but I found your blog last year when your cousin, Sarah, posted it. I have followed it since and have LOVED the updates (sorry if that sounds super stalker-ish). It gives me such hope to watch your story unfold! My husband and I are currently in the middle of our 1st IVF and our egg retrieval is on Saturday!! Your blog was a big reason that we chose to go to UFC for our procedures. Anyway, I have been wanting to write you on here but have never known what to say...so, I just want to say HI and CONGRATS on your upcoming baby girl! Best wishes!
