Total weight gain: I've gained 30 pounds.
Maternity clothes: Yep! Some of them are even starting to get too tight!
Best moment this week: We received the rest of the baby items including the stroller and car seat. My brother, sister-in-law, and mom came over yesterday and helped me finish getting the nursery ready, do some cleaning, and put the stroller together. Afterward we went for lunch. It was such a fun day! Matt came home and just sat in the nursery and pushed the stroller around the house for a while. He is so excited for this little girl. It is pretty darn cute that she is already a daddy's girl.
Here is a picture of our stroller and car seat. It actually breaks down so it's just a car seat carrier right now that will be transformed into a travel system/lightweight stroller as she grows. We love it!
Movement: She is still moving a lot and I love it. I can definitely feel her getting stronger. Sometimes I can feel this weird vibration for a few seconds! I think it's just a muscle spasm or something.
Waist diameter: 31 inches at waist (or the most narrow section since my waist is gone), 41 inches at the widest section of my belly.
Food cravings/Aversions: I've been craving peanut butter and pickle sandwiches! I've always eaten these, so it's not that weird but I've definitely been craving them this week.
Labor signs: I'm still having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions and sometimes they seem to be getting stronger. Today I've had a ton of really strong Braxton Hicks contractions. Just some practice for the big day. ;) She has dropped a bit and I definitely feel like my bladder is a lot smaller this week. I used to only get up once each night, but now it's three times each night.
Belly button in or out? It's kind of popping out a little, but I really don't think I'll get a full outie because it's just so deep and narrow normally.
What I miss: NOTHING! We are just so grateful for this little miracle.
What I am looking forward to: We are so excited to meet this little girl. We love her so much already and can't wait to snuggle her!
Milestones: 38 weeks! The baby is approximately 19.61 inches long (from head to heel) and weighs approximately 6.8 pounds. Approximately. ;)
Realization of the week: We are definitely excited to meet this little one, but I don't want to wish away this time I have being pregnant! I've waited so long for this experience and I want to enjoy every minute. I also realize that waiting another few weeks for our baby is nothing compared to the 6 years we've already waited! I remember being hurt many times by hearing women complain about going past their due date and having to wait another week to have their baby. I wished I only had a week left to wait for our baby! I'm so grateful for the perspective that our struggle with infertility has given me. It is one of the many blessings that have come from that trial.
Other things:
Matt is seriously worried about this whole water breaking thing. He seriously asked me the other night when I was going to put something on the bed to protect it. :) I have a water proof mattress thing that we bought for the crib so I'll probably throw one of those on my side of the bed under the sheet just for his peace of mind.
Are you ready to see the nursery?! It's not completely finished, but it's close enough so I thought I'd go ahead and post pictures. I'll probably post another picture of the frame collage wall once I fill the frames. There also might be a hint about Little B's name in some of these pictures. This has quickly become my favorite room in our apartment.
We are looking for something else to put in the bird cage.
So that's it! We couldn't be more excited for this sweet little girl to arrive!
