13 Weeks

Personal note: I know many of my readers are infertility warriors.  Feel free to ignore these posts because I know what it feels like to be in your shoes.  I just can't not document this little miracle of ours and keep praying for your miracle as well.

Is that a belly we see there?! :)

How far along? 13 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Steady still!  I'm hoping to start gaining this week though!
Maternity clothes: I had much more success with maternity clothes this week!  My sweet sister-in-law brought me a huge bag of maternity clothes that will work really well.  Some look cute now and others will look great once my belly grows a bit.  I also found a few cute maternity item and non-maternity items that will work during pregnancy at Target.  I'm feeling much better about my wardrobe. :)
Best moment this week: Buying maternity clothes is fun. I bought a cute maternity t-shirt dress that really shows off my belly and makes me look pregnant instead of just like I've been eating too many donuts. :)
Movement: I can't wait to feel our sweet baby moving.
Waist diameter: 26 inches at waist, 30 inches at belly button (same as last week)
Food cravings/Aversions: These are few and far between now!  They vary from one hour to the next. One minute I'm loving yogurt and the next I think I might throw up in the yogurt bowl if I take another bite.
Labor signs: Thankfully, none.
Belly button in or out?  It's definitely too early for this question unless you were born with an outie belly button.
What I miss: NOTHING!  I'm just so grateful for this little miracle growing inside.
What I am looking forward to: I'm excited for our next doctor's appointment in a little less than 2 weeks when the doctor will look for the gender on the ultrasound!
Milestones:  13 weeks!  Baby is almost 3 inches now!  We made it through the first trimester and I'm weaning myself off of the morning sickness meds.
Realization of the week: We are just so, so blessed.  We are both so excited to be parents.
Other funny things: I've never believed that pregnancy brain was a real thing until this happened.
That's a new pair of socks in the garbage can.  Earlier in the day I almost threw away another pair and caught myself and put them in the dirty clothes basket on the other side of the room.  Then I found these in there last night and I don't remember when it happened!  I'm losing my mind apparently. :)

Hi Stephanie and Matt,

A belated congratulations! We're so happy and excited for you guys! I read about the first attempts and am very sorry for the pain you had to go through. Reading these last few posts, however, I get the feeling that everything will go perfectly with this pregnancy. You guys are going to be wonderful parents.

Best wishes! We look forward to seeing pictures of Baby Purcell next February!
