34 Weeks

Thursday, January 8, 2015
How far along? 34 weeks!
Total weight gain: I've gained 23 pounds.
Maternity clothes: Yep!  Most of the time around the house I just wear comfy lounge clothes.  I've always been that way though--comfort is pretty dang important!
Best moment this week: Definitely my amazing baby shower!  My sweet friend's Mary and Rachel threw a shower for me last Saturday and it was more than I ever could have imagined!  They even had a crepe bar!  I'm so blessed to have such incredible friends who wanted to celebrate our sweet little girl with us.  Here are a few pictures from that day.

Me with Mary and Rachel--two of my best friends and the amazing hostesses!

The amazing crepe bar!  Plus, check out those adorable decorations that Mary made!  I'm so excited to incorporate these into the nursery.

Just a few of the beautiful ladies who came!  I wish I had snagged a picture earlier!  I have the best friends.
Movement: She is still moving a lot and I love it.  Sometimes it seriously feels like she is doing somersaults in there!  I keep hearing that the movement will decrease, but I haven't seen it yet!
Waist diameter: 29.5 inches at waist, 39 inches at the widest section of my belly
Food cravings/Aversions: Oreos and icees--you know like the ones you get at the movie theater?  I wish I could drink one of those every day.
Labor signs: Sometimes I get Braxton Hicks contractions.
Belly button in or out?  It's starting to pop out just a teeny tiny bit.  You can only see it popping from the side.
What I miss: NOTHING!  We are just so grateful for this little miracle.
What I am looking forward to: A few ladies from our ward are throwing me a shower tonight!  It will be so fun to spend some time with some of my favorite ladies and celebrate our little girl.
Milestones:  34 weeks!  The baby is approximately 17.72 inches long (from head to heel) and weighs approximately 4.73 pounds.  Approximately. ;)
Realization of the week: It is HARD to shave your legs while pregnant.
Other things: My mom and I went shopping for a few nursery items on Tuesday and it was a huge success.  The nursery is really starting to come together and I can't wait to see it completely finished.

On Saturday my sweet friend Jill (she is also the director of PPP) took maternity photos for us.  She is awesome and you can check out here blog here.  I'm so glad she was able to capture this part of our incredible journey after helping us get here!  Here is a little preview of our pictures.

Bahaha! I love your realization. It gets tricky to paint your toe nails too. :-P I can't wait to see the rest of the maternity photos.

Oh also I noticed when you first posted the photo on instagram that those leaves match the fabric you used on the baby quilt. SUPER CUTE!! I can't wait to see the nursery when it's all done.
