Turning 25!

Birthdays are the best when celebrated for a few days...if not a whole week! :)  On the Friday before my birthday my co-workers threw me a little office party.  Jenna was asking me last week what I wanted for my birthday and I jokingly said, "One million dollars."  So she got me an ice cream cake with a million dollars on it!

Then, a sweet lady that I work with on campus brought this beautiful flower bouquet that was left over from an event.  It made my day--I LOVE tulips!

Later that evening, we had an office party in a box at the Notre Dame hockey game.  It was our first one and it was a blast!  I love the people I work with so it was fun to hang out with them.  Then you add AMAZING food, fun atmosphere, and an awesome hockey game.  It was a great night and a fun way to start off my birthday weekend.

On Saturday Matt took me to get an iPhone!!  :)  I have never had a smart phone and my phone has been acting up for a while so I was beyond excited!  We waited around at the store for a few hours--it was exhausting.  BUT we finally got my phone and I love it!

When we came home Matt made me my favorite Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches for dinner and we spent the night relaxing together.

On Sunday, my actual birthday, I slept in, woke up, and got ready for church.  Matt took a picture of me at 25!!  A quarter of a century!!  How did I get here? :)

After church we had more Philly Cheesesteak Sandwhiches for dinner and then it was time for cake.  Matt was so sweet to put candles in the cake and sing to me all by himself.  Here's to being 25!

Shout Hooray!

On Saturday we celebrated my 24 birthday!  I had Shingles, of all things, so it was really low key.  Matt worked hard to make it special.  

We slept in and cuddled and as soon as I woke up Matt asked if it could be "present time".  :)  (He had already tried to convince me to open my birthday present at midnight.)  I opened a gift from Matt, and both sets of parents--they did a great job surprising me!  And a gift from my sweet friend Katie--I laughed out loud at her note about having a hospitable uterus or something.

After opening presents we had a delicious breakfast hash browns (my favorite part) and all!  Then we relaxed and I took a nap.  For dinner we tried a new pizza place and LOVED it--bonus, we had a gift card.

Finally, we made sure to snap a couple pictures with my birthday cake. :)

I have a feeling this is going to be the best year yet!

Success and a Happy Birthday!

My parents were here for Matt's birthday (August 5th) and it was so fun!  Matt doesn't really like all the attention to be on him, so I think he kind of dreads his birthday a little bit.  It's so funny because I like to extend my Birthday celebrations for an entire week!  ;)  We were able to celebrate a little and I told him I would make him ANYTHING he wanted for dinner and dessert.  He chose creamy chicken noodle soup, home made rolls, and fruit pizza.  The fruit pizza recipe I tried this time was EASY and a complete success--thanks McKenna Wallace!

Matt chose the fruit so we used strawberries, kiwis, raspberries, and fresh peaches.  Isn't it pretty??

I'm so glad that Matt was born and came into my life.  He's my buddy and makes life a party!

Happy Birthday sweetheart!  I love you so much!

Better Late Than EVER

Sometimes I think late birthday presents are even better than ones that come on time!!  :)  I got these two surprises in the mail on Monday after work and it was the perfect start to my week.  Thanks ladies. :)

The Golden Birthday!!

I turned 23 on the 23rd this year!! :) I had to work, but work was really fun and I had lunch with Matt at school.  I got flowers at work and so many people sent nice messages wishing me a happy birthday.  After work Matt had a surprise in the car... 25 boneless chicken wings from Buffalo Wild Wings!!!

*You may notice that Matt has been sporting a goatee... he's such a stud.*

AND a bottle of my favorite sauce...

We made a smoothie to go with them...

and I was in heaven!  I have the best husband ever.

On Saturday, February 25 he took me out to breakfast at the American Pancake house.  It's the best, especially their fresh squeezed orange juice!

Matt and I each ordered the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Panini... doesn't this just make you hungry??  It was even better than I remembered.

And sitting across from this hottie made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
